Putin's BRUTAL war on rap music (Fake News)

Actually, regulating some of the more offensive content in rap music would not be such a bad idea, in my view. But in this case, the mainstream media is lying about Putin's apparent "iron fist" on the music industry in Russia.

Fact: Rap music has black origin. It extols things like senseless violence, drugs, and bestial sexuality. All of these things are typical of the African American communities across US.

There is nothing more "controlling" than a popular music artist with a following of millions with a message that brings down nations.

Rap 'culture' is toxic garbage. Good on the Russians for calling it out and attempting to steer their youth away.

Putin is like a Physics professor who goes into detail of certain topic and rest of ministers sitting there are like students who don't know what the hell is this guy talking about .....But,then PROFESSOR IS ALWAYS RIGHT.

Gangsta rap culture from the late 80s/90s, which has become one of the main forces behind (((globalization))), was the final nail in the coffin for the Western world once it reached the masses. Unfortunately this degeneracy has affected other parts of the world as well, not to mention it has destroyed America's black culture. As a person who grew up in the 80s/90s in a predominantly white, typical small American town, I witnessed "normal" wholesome-ish kids turning into degenerate wannabe thugs (aka: wiggers) seemingly overnight, as their interests shifted from rock to rap music (and rock was already bad enough); a lot who never recovered from it and still live troubled lives well into their 30s. I actually cannot think of another type of culture/mainstream trend in recent history that has had such a negative impact on society. I remember older people warning my generation about this when we were teens, and we laughed thinking "how could music harm society?". Now I understand how this type of mind control works, and it's no longer funny as the world is literally crumbling before us, and entertainment such as rap music has so much to do with it.

We took gangbang and convict subculture and normalized it, made it mainstream. The media and entertainment industry have made insane amounts of money, while simultaneously, crime along with every single social ill, skyrocketed.

We had conversations like that in the US years ago. We don’t discuss issues like this anymore. It’s an “anything goes” culture. However, no nation can successfully legislate morality. It is best handled as Putin said, “Don’t ban it, guide it.”

The Russians are far more family oriented than Europe and have a pride in their culture and country - everything that is now frowned upon in Europe today. When you see the audience at celebrations the difference is so startling due to what’s missing - such as tattoos, multiple piercings, multi coloured hair and outlandish choices in clothing. The Russian women appear so beautiful and wear makeup that enhances instead of camouflages and the men look so smart even when casually dressed. They are also predominantly courteous and every other word doesn’t begin with ‘ f’, in fact I cant recall Putin swearing in public and he sets a good example. It makes me feel quite nostalgic as it reminds me of how Europe was just a few decades ago before degeneracy became the norm.

I study media influence. Putin's right. It affects the minds of young people badly. But he's also right to educate people rather than ban it. Education is the key. Here's a post I made on Facebook about this topic: Today, President Putin announced that he feels rap music should be controlled but not banned. He knows the damage it does to young people's minds. There are studies that prove it and I've done some of them. Notice he is not censoring it, just educating young people and parents about the dangers of the influence. No matter how loud you shout it, you cannot deny the influence of music and other media on impressionable minds. Over here in the US, meanwhile, we are CENSORING and BANNING sentimental songs such as "Baby it's Cold Outside" because it promotes romance between men and women. Uh. Who is the Communist and who is the free nation? Russia is more sensible about their laws than us, folks. They follow their constitution while trying to keep peace in their country. And Democrats are worried about RUSSIA? Look in the mirror, people!

boy, i'm starting to like Russia more and more. Rappity hippity-hop is a symptom of a putrid, western culture that shuns the holy in favor of the profane

Kudos to Russia for actually caring enough about their youth to protect them from the negative influences that have destroyed the West.

Fake news strikes again. I appreciate how the Russian government is having thoughtful discourse on how best to deal with the issue and not reacting just to be reacting. Thanks for the update and episode sweet Inessa.

this is smart, and its great that putin is taking action against the degeneracy that is getting a hold of our youth. It just shows that putin cares about his countrymen. And before some twat tells me "muh freedom of speech, muh freedom of letting my voice be heard through music", what message are these modern rappers trying to bring out with rapping about sex, money, drugs and so forth, whats the message in all that?
